How to make a paper snowflake:
Step 1
Take a rectangular sheet of paper and fold the top right corner diagonally to the opposite edge
Step 2
Cut and discard the paper outside of the fold away — making the paper a square piece of paper
Step 3
Fold the triangle in half so that bottom right corner meets the top left corner
Step 4
Rotate the paper 90 degrees clockwise so that the "top" of the triangle is facing you
Step 5
Divide the triangle into thirds by folding the top left corner to the right, covering the middle third of the paper
Step 6
Then fold the top right corner to the left, covering the previous fold
Step 7
Flip the paper over
Step 8
Cut away the top portion above the line so that top is now straight
Step 9
Draw lines and shapes that touch the edges of the paper. You can copy the example, or make your own designs
Step 10
Carefully cut along the lines and remove the cut away paper
Step 11
Gently unfold the paper
Step 12
And now you have a snowflake!
